The Great Falls Tournament

On May 6, 2006, pool checkers players of South Carolina, being coordinated by Mr. Rufus Watts of Benedict College, Columbia, South Carolina, sponsored the tournament in conjunction with a car-motorcycle show that was also held simultaneously at the Great Falls, South Carolina Recreation Park. Such APCA notables as Don Jackson, top master player, who reported as having left his twin brother, Ron, the gold bar player, back home in Macon, Georgia, and David Jackson, master player, also of Macon, Georgia along with approximately 25 other pool checkers players from Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina converged on Great Falls to see who was going to be "King of the Hill" for that day in Great Falls, South Carolina. The Group was divided into two categories, the masters and the gold bar divisions. Donald Jackson met the challenge and won the masters whereas Sanders Troutman of Florida won the gold bar division.
